Finding turning points in physics?

a particle with total energy 3.5J is trapped in a potential well described by U = 7.0 - 8.0x + 1.7x^2, where U is in joules and x in meters. find its turning points. the answers are 4.22 and .488 but i have no idea how to get them, help please? clearest answer = best answer.
