Would a tattoo artist be able to clean up my sketch?

If I were to bring my own sketch of a potential tattoo to a shop, would it be weird to ask them to clean it up, maybe add something that I couldn't incorporate well enough, because my lack of drawing skill (I'm not terrible, but if I were getting a tattoo of a drawing, I'd want someone with better talent to work out the detailed stuff).
